Please visit www.chacmc.org/courses for information about the Fall courses**8-Week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course (MBSR)This 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course is offered at the CHA Center for Mindfulness and Compassion. All levels of experience with mindfulness and meditation are welcome. Mindful meditation has been show to improve your thoughts, beliefs and actions in response to stress by balancing sympathetic and parasympathetic responses (Kabat-Zinn, 2003). In this course, the fundamentals and foundations of mindfulness and meditation will be taught. Participants will have the opportunity to practice daily at home, together in the weekly group and use provided resources to help support an ongoing practice. This course aims to support and provide tools for relieving stress, increasing resiliency, and meeting the challenges of everyday life.

Refund policy: There is a $75 registration fee if cancelling at least 8 days before the course orientation. 50% refund can be between 7 days and 2 days before course orientation. No Refund is available if cancellation is within 48 hours before the start of the course orientation, but the participant will be placed on a waiting list to be enrolled in the next MBSR course offering. Two weeks before the course starts, we will ask you to fill out a brief required background form that only the teachers will have access to. This may be followed by a brief phone call with one of the teachers to confirm that this course will be safe and helpful for you. CMC is part of a group of centers with an intention to lead the way in meditation safety and accessibility for the mindfulness training field and making sure courses are safe, accessible and supportive to participants.
